Action over Reaction: How to Respond in Times of Uncertaintly

Revolution describes a politically charged movement aimed at instituting immediate and sudden change. Two historical examples are the American and French revolutions, which sought to topple tyrannical governments. It is in human nature to oppose oppressive rule, whether from a king or billionaire tech moguls.

We live in a time of uncertainty. This is especially true in the United States. The people have taken Democracy for granted. They have allowed Tyrants to seize control of our daily lives. Whether you support or disapprove of the current administration, we all live in a world. Unfortunately, we have to face the consequences of our actions. Fortunately, we live in a country that supports our right to freedom of speech, assembly, press, petition, and religion. The best way to exercise our rights is to let them be heard. Violence is never the answer because it breeds justification for those in power to denounce the movement. What speaks louder than violence ever will is peaceful protesting.

The biggest example of this is the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. King. King advocated for nonviolent protests. These efforts eventually helped desegregate schools and institute laws to protect Black Americans. They also promoted equality for all. However, we do not live in a utopia where everyone is equal; we must fight for equality. That is why we need to fight for our nation. The current administration has attempted to desecrate what it means to be American and our Democracy. The people in Washington who we elected to represent us are not enough to compact tyranny. We, the people, need to speak up; it is us who control this nation, not Elon Musk or Donald Trump.

Our voice is the loudest when we are together. The United States has endured worse, and we will overcome this hurdle, but we need to be active. To be silent is to be complicit.
